Nurturing Growth: A Midwife’s Mission

At 21 years old, Caroline is in her first year of midwifery studies in Malawi. Driven by a passion to ensure healthy beginnings, she travels for her clinical rotations to hospitals all over the country, teaching expectant mothers about the vital role of nutrition during pregnancy.

Life-Giving Leaves: The Moringa Connection

From the moment Strong Harvest’s moringa teaching reached her community, Caroline embraced the moringa tree.

Eating the leaves in both fresh and dried form, she found relief from chronic stomach pain, experienced a boost in energy, and made moringa a staple with every meal.

Inspired by her own transformation, she eagerly shares the benefits with classmates, friends, and anyone willing to listen!

Parallel Practices: Midwifery & Moringa

Generativity: Just as a midwife guides new life safely into the world, the moringa tree nurtures and protects bodies of all ages.
Empowerment: Caroline empowers women — first in classrooms, then in clinics — encouraging them to add moringa to their daily diet.
Celebration: After her educational talks at special clinics for children under five years old, she joins women in song and dance, celebrating the moringa tree’s promise: “If a mother feeds her baby well, she can save a life.”

Harvesting Hope

While home on breaks, Caroline partners with her father, Pastor Moshi, to produce and sell homemade moringa powder. Together they champion this “miracle tree,” ensuring its life-protecting gifts reach every family — from the expectant mother in the clinic to the children who grow stronger with each spoonful to the elders who benefit from its restorative power.
