As many of our friends in the U.S. prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, I’ve been reflecting on gratitude – not just as a feeling, but as a force that connects us across borders and cultures.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, families we work with are learning to grow and use moringa for nutritious meals, to purify water with moringa seed powder, and to build small businesses selling moringa products. That knowledge doesn’t stop with one household – it spreads, multiplying into healthier, more secure communities where people can focus on what matters most: their families, their traditions, and their futures.
Whether you gather around a table this month or simply take a quiet moment to give thanks, please know that your kindness is making life more secure and hopeful for families around the world.
Here are some recent stories from rural Tanzania, showing why the people we train are grateful for your generosity:
^ Enoti, a blind woman living in Armame, used to suffer from eye and leg pain. After eating moringa every day, she is pain free!
^ In Armame, Norkishiru and her family have greatly benefited from eating moringa every day.
Before, her children suffered from malnutrition – evident through weight loss, muscle weakness, slow growth, frequent illness, and fluid retention. Now, everyone is healthy and the kids are growing well!
^ In Gelai, Lamakaa was bedridden for 3 months after a motorcycle accident, but is now able to walk after regularly applying moringa leaf paste to his wounds.
Moringa’s antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties work together to promote tissue repair!
^ Norkishu and her family, from Armame, were plagued with constant coughs, headaches, fevers, and chest pain. With moringa, they are healthy and thriving!
As we enter this season of thankfulness, my heart is full of appreciation for YOU. Your partnership empowers people to meet their own basic needs and to share that knowledge with others – creating ripples of health, opportunity, and hope!
Thank you for standing with us in this important work and for believing that together, we can build a more nourished and connected world! 😊
With deep gratitude,
Megan, for the Strong Harvest team
