Looking Back at 2025
In 2025, Strong Harvest celebrated our 14th year of operation, embraced a leadership transition in May, welcomed two babies into the Strong Harvest family, and continued our important work across 5 countries with our awesome team of 7 field workers!
Our fieldwork included Introductory Seminars, Peer Educator Trainings*, Continuing Education Workshops**, home visits, school visits, and moringa tree planting events.
We also empowered the community of Timbenao in Malawi to grow crops year-round despite major climate changes with a new solar-powered irrigation system. And we finished the year by laying the groundwork for a new project in India: the tribal women’s savings group farming project in Barura, which will help local women provide healthy food and increased income for their families and community.

*Peer Educator Trainings include education in basic nutrition and the cultivation and uses of the moringa tree for increased nutrition, clean water, and economic opportunities while caring for the environment. Peer Educators learn how to spread this knowledge in their communities and beyond.
**Continuing Education Workshops include further training, problem solving, and instruction in making a variety of moringa products for family income.
Mr. Pantu is a hardworking man living in a small village called Gogogo in Malawi. For many years, life was difficult for him and his family. He often became sick, felt weak, and spent a lot of money going to the medical clinic. Because of his poor health, he could not work consistently, and his family struggled to meet their daily needs.
In May 2023, Mr. Pantu attended a community meeting where Pastor Moshi Kawiya, Strong Harvest Field Partner, talked about the moringa tree. Pastor Moshi explained that moringa leaves are very nutritious and can help improve health. He also mentioned that moringa can be sold as powder, tea, or fresh leaves to earn income. Mr. Pantu became very interested and decided to try it.
Mr. Pantu planted several moringa trees around his home and yard. When the leaves were ready, he began eating them regularly by cooking them with vegetables and sometimes drying them and making powder. After a few months, Mr. Pantu noticed big changes in his body. He felt stronger, had more energy, and got sick much less often. His medical expenses reduced, and he was able to work every day without feeling tired.
Seeing the benefits, Mr. Pantu decided to turn moringa into a small business. He harvested the leaves, dried them carefully, and made moringa powder. He packaged the powder and started selling it at the local market in 2024. Many people bought the moringa powder after seeing how healthy Mr. Pantu’s family looked and hearing his story.
As time passed, the business grew. Mr. Pantu earned enough money to support his family, pay school fees for his children, and improve their home. His family began eating better food, and their lives became more comfortable. Mr. Pantu also shared his knowledge with others in the village, teaching them how to grow and use moringa.
Today, Mr. Pantu is known as a healthy and successful man. Moringa not only improved his health but also changed his family’s future. His story shows how using moringa wisely can bring both good health and financial stability!

from Tanzania, Togo, and Nicaragua were trained to grow and use moringa for a healthy diet, and to make moringa products to increase family income.

Many people want information about how moringa can impact their lives. We introduce the moringa basics to large groups and from there, many go on to become Peer Educators.

were distributed to families around the world by our Field Representatives, Field Partners, and Peer Educators, changing their lives right from their own yards!

Hundreds of people attended Continuing Education Workshops to further their moringa knowledge and expand their moringa network.

57.92% comes from individual donors, who believe in empowering families through the mission of Strong Harvest.
42.08% comes from organizations, such as public charities, churches, businesses, and miscellaneous revenue.
