When one person learns something live-giving, the impact rarely stops with them. That has been true in Granada, Nicaragua, as seen in the story of Isela.

Personal Transformation

Isela first heard about moringa during a follow-up training at her church. What began as a simple training quickly became something deeply personal. She and her husband, Carlos, were excited to begin using moringa in their own home.

Over a few months, Isela noticed real changes in her health. She shared that she rarely gets sick anymore, and that a long struggle with constipation has improved. Today, she uses moringa every day in rice, drinks, and gallo pinto (a common rice and bean stir fry).

From One Home to a New Community

The story did not end there. Because Isela and Carlos believed in what they had learned, they carried that knowledge into a new place: El Capulín, a poor rural community outside of Granada where they are planting a church. As they reach out to children and families, they want to support the whole person, not only spiritually, but physically as well. So they invited Lesly, our Field Representative, to share moringa education with the community.

Training That Reached the Whole Family

Lesly responded with two trainings in El Capulín: a full Peer Educator Training and a Continuing Education Workshop. In these gatherings, adults and children learned how to grow and use moringa leaves for improved health, and how to clean water with moringa seed powder.

A Multiply-Effect Impact

What happened in El Capulín is a powerful reminder of what is possible when one person received knowledge and chooses to share it.

Isela’s story is not only about better health; it is about multiplying hope. This is the kind of impact your support makes possible. Thank you for being part of this work and helping make stories like Isela’s a reality!

Gratefully,
